My novels are about genuine heroes. I have nothing against novels with anti-heroes. Some of my favorite works involve them. But we live in an era where maybe the central figures in our story can rise above not just the grim circumstances they face, but their own demons, as well.
After all, what makes characters memorable if they simply succumb to their lowliest tendencies? Today’s world requires all of us to rise up and be our own heroes. We may stumble. We may fall. But we’ll always dust ourselves off and try again. The heroes in my novels are the same way. I hope you enjoy them as much as they enjoyed making me write about them.
